Money Saving Tip #1: Scrap Cable and Get Netlfix

The gift of Netflix keeps on giving.

My mother spends roughly 60 bucks a month on cable for her weekly tryst with ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ and so she can watch a movie every so often.

In my mind that doesn’t equate to me the 60 dollars, especially in such a penny pinching time.

Solution:

I’ve been wanting to tout how freakin’ awesome my Roku Netflix Playerexperience has been and how valuable the service can be for the penniless movie buff.

Last Guardian, finally something worth buying a PS3 for!

The PS3 has been around for sometime now and I think even owners are slightly disappointed with what they have available to them in terms of great games, but now I’m convinced. I’ll be joining the ranks of dissatisfied PS3 owners this year when the developers of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, release their third epic…Last Guardian. The last two were fantastic stories told beautifully, on top of game mechanics that had never been seen before.

An Existential Crisis: Cutting Out The Distractions

Post undergrad and out in the work place, I became overwhelmed with the things that I owned. I didn’t absolutely need most of my things and I had been convinced, some how, that I did. I wanted to see the world and I couldn’t. Within months, I sold all my things and moved to NYC with a backpack and a box full of clothes. How do you know what you really need? Well, it’s a lot easier to know what you don’t need than what you do.
