My 1L year of law school left me with a dozen books that I have yet to open since, in some cases, the first couple weeks of class. Black’s Law Dictionary is one of them. Granted every so often, but not often enough.
Pretty much a staple in terms of pocket reference, Black’s Law Dictionary has been around forever now and it’s 2nd edition is actually in the public domain. That means no one owns it. In fact Black’s Law defines it as so:
I was a little inspired by Merlin Mann’s run through of his desktop and thought I might do one of my own. Perhaps in a series of steps. So here is a brief intro to my desktop and the apps I use just on the surface. A way of passive information flow, granted the setup I may have isn’t for everyone, it might be for you with some tweaks.
