My 1L year of law school left me with a dozen books that I have yet to open since, in some cases, the first couple weeks of class. Black’s Law Dictionary is one of them. Granted every so often, but not often enough.
Pretty much a staple in terms of pocket reference, Black’s Law Dictionary has been around forever now and it’s 2nd edition is actually in the public domain. That means no one owns it. In fact Black’s Law defines it as so:

Fact.
You don’t need to take Professional Responsibility to take the MPRE.
An Anecdote
My experience during an arduous 2L Fall Semester was that wanted you can learn the rules of conduct, take the exam fairly cold and get perfectly good score before most people think to take the exam. I found having spent so much time with the Rules of Conduct that I was pretty strong for PR. Rumor has it some schools don’t make you take PR so long as you have passed the MPRE.
